Would You Wear the Pencey Fringe Skirt?

Here’s a new one from Shopbop – the  Pencey Fringe Skirt. It looks a little unconventional, with its fringes starting at the bottom instead of the top, unlike most fringe skirts you’d see in the stores. It also has a bit of  vintage vibe to it, which is lovely actually, but I’m not sure if I can wholly appreciate the piece.

The slinky salmon colored crochet material is actually beautiful; again, a bit on the retro. But what keeps me from loving it are those angel hair tassels. I don’t think I can bring myself to actually wear the skirt with fringes that long. It’s ironic because that detail (fringes) is what makes the skirt look unique. I guess if the fringes were shorter, perhaps around 2 or 3 inches, I wouldn’t mind putting the skirt on.

On another note, I would also love to see how this skirt would look when styled with the right pieces. Maybe it will look fabulous. Maybe it will even change my mind? I truly wonder… One thing I know though, I think this skirt would be perfect for the beach, would you agree?
