Oscar and Grammy award winner Jennifer Hudson wowed spectators both at the Superdome and on live TV at this year’s Super Bowl. Many were even brought to tears as they witnessed the singer-actress’ heartfelt rendition of America The Beautiful which she performed at the pre-game show together with the Sandy Hook Elementary School Chorus. The song is a fitting tribute to the children of Sandy Hook who lost their lives to the tragic shooting rampage in Newtown, Connecticut last December.

Jennifer is one of the faces of Weight Watchers and her look at the Super Bowl event clearly showed how she is serious in keeping her body fit and healthy. We love the singer’s white knee-length L’Wren Scott skirt called the Propaganda Re13 Wool-Blend Pencil Skirt. It hugged her curves quite nicely but still made her look polished and proper for such an occasion.
The skirt features custom military-style buttons at the front, contrast trim, black grosgrain waistband and a slit at the back.
Jennifer paired it with a tight black leather bodysuit with a turtleneck top from Monika Chiang and wore Saint Laurent Paris Escarpin Ankle Cuff Pumps. Do you like her ensemble here or does it look too serious for you?
If you love her skirt, good news! It’s currently available at Shopbop in three colors:
Even with its length and style, a pencil skirt such as this can enhance your curves as Jennifer has shown us. Not only is it an office staple that’s great to pair with cardigans or blazers, a pencil skirt can be worn for more casual occasions when topped with a short-sleeved or sleeveless blouse. Of course, a little DIY won’t hurt if you feel like adding a few buttons on the front panel just like Jennifer’s customized skirt.
