The Preen Print Funnel Skirt: Fab or an Epic Fail?

Do you like mixing prints? How about I show you one mixed printed skirt and you tell me what you think of it. Meet one of the latest from Preen – the Print Funnel Skirt. Not only does this skirt have an asymmetrical hemline, but it also has that unbalanced look created by the combination of two different printed blue fabrics – one sateen, the other georgette. And although both fabrics feature paisley patterns, one is a shade darker and includes black dots so you will really notice the disparity. Perhaps the only thing symmetric about this skirt is the way it allocated equal portions for both fabrics from the front, all the way to the back:

Now although the skirt may not look conventional, it also features noteworthy add-ons that include a detachable blue chain-detailed belt, box pleating, and a black grosgrain trim on the hem and waist. Altogether, we actually think this skirt looks cute; a standout piece you can use for both casual and dressy-casual outfits. But the real question is, what do YOU think of it? Do you think it’s totally fabulous? Or is totally ugly? Would you say it’s definitely not bad? And would you still think that way if you knew that this designer skirt retails at a whopping USD700 over at Shopbop? Or will the price truly make it an epic fail?
