Wow, I think Alexander Wang has truly outdone himself this time. Check out one of his latest creations – the Paneled Combo Skirt. I am totally at a lost for words. Yes it’s a skirt, but it’s more like a work of art. Maybe it’s with the buttons, maybe it’s with the panels, or maybe it’s with the shape, but it also strangely reminds me of a guitar; I wonder if that was his inspiration when he came up with the piece.

I am truly amazed by all the details. Even the fabric, which according to the description, is puckered cotton, looks exquisite! It truly is a skirt of mixed media. There’s the foil panel, the khaki suede trim, the white canvas trim, the puckered cotton body, the zippers, and the metal button closures; and they all blend so perfectly.

How to wear it would be an entirely different story of course. For such a detailed piece, I would simply just go for a simple white top and some classic booties or pumps.
