Would You Buy the Yuna Yang Coral Lace Skirt for US$680?

Every now and then, I like featuring skirts that are unusual and also unusually expensive. Here’s another one for you today. While browsing through EdressMe.com, I found this silk lace and organza skirt from Yuna Yang. Take a look:

Yuna Yang Coral Lace Skirt

What do you think?

It looks feminine and luxurious; and definitely unusual, that’s for sure. But I bet it will also look unflattering on anyone who is not a walking hanger (ergo model). If you have big hips or a post pregnancy tummy, this skirt will surely not work.

It’s simply meant for women with slender and straight bodies; women with no hips (and no butt). Wearing this will also require really high heels for the simple reason that you need all the elongation you can get. If I had this on me, I would be tempted to belt it on the waist and pair it with a fitted top just to achieve some form of shape and appear more put together.

Calvin Klein Support Jersey Tank, £28 or about US$44 at Net-A-Porter.com

Michael Kors Wide Zippered Belt, US$58 (Zappos)

It is made of 100% silk lace so I can understand the steep price tag. But does it have to be US$680 steep? Would you buy this skirt for US$680? If you would, buy it EdressMe.com by December 13 so you can enjoy a 20% discount with coupon code “cj10″.
